This unique, patented tool eases the job that nobody likes. No more covers or screens which clog and allow debris to fall onto shrubbery and walkways!
Eliminate the danger of climbing ladders and crawling along roofs. Efficient, safe, and easy to use from ground level: extend your reach to approximately twelve feet! Manufactured with lightweight, anodized aluminum shafts, generous pliable rubber hand grips and nylon/fiberglass jaws, hinged with a steel pin: Gutter Tongs® are 60 inches in length, durable, and made to last! To use the tool: merely spread the arms apart and slide the open jaws either from left to right or right to left along the inside of the rain gutter. Once sufficient material is collected, swing the arms together, lift upwards, and remove the debris. While sliding the tool along the gutter you may frequently encounter "hanger nails." When confronting one merely swing or tilt the jaws sideways, pushing the debris beneath and to the opposite side of the nail. Then just lift the tool over the nail and continue cleaning. Leaves, needles, and other debris can be neatly disposed of in a wheelbarrow or bucket. One can also easily grasp a garden hose nozzle with the tool's jaws. By turning on your spigot you can flush out smaller gutter debris you may have missed. In fact, you can grasp and lift a hand mirror using the jaws to insure it's totally clean. The tool is primarily designed for single-story gutter maintenance, therefore it can only reach upwards to approximately 12 feet in height. Fortunately, because of gravity and wind, second-story gutters seldom require cleaning or maintenance. A year of research and development preceded the manufacturing of the revolutionary tool, Gutter Tongs®. During this period Excalibur Product Design, LLC critically evaluated all commercially available products, extensively researched prior art (patented tools) and prototyped numerous product ideas. In fact, this tool is the only product designed by Mr. Patterson solely for his own needs. We don't claim that this is the "ultimate mousetrap."
